Art studio project centring HOME

With guiding place-based creative prompts, Turning Point Recovery Society ERC residents/artists* will use professional quality art supplies to create meaningful art. Mickey L.D. Morgan, a local artist, will set up Wayfinding Art Studio in the ERC location, and facilitate several studio sessions. At the end of all these sessions, the goal is to have a variety of work by various participants speaking to themes of place, displacement, community, home, or any other focusses residents/artists desire. The project will end with a public art exhibition to raise awareness by listening to the creative voices of those who have experienced homelessness.

Keep an eye on this website for updates on the work created in Wayfinding Art Studio and view the final show at the Richmond Caring Place at the end of June.

*residents/artists are Turning Point residents who are making art. Mickey is an artist, but not the only artist in the room!
